We made Elva because recording software got weird.
Somewhere along the way, capturing a conversation in 4K became a luxury. Enterprise pricing. Sales calls. "Contact us for a quote."
We thought that was dumb.
Elva records in 4K. Separate tracks. Local recording that doesn't care about your wifi. And it costs what software should cost.
That's it. That's the pitch.
What we believe
Pricing should be on the website
If you have to "contact sales," something's off. We put our prices where you can see them.
Quality isn't a premium feature
4K recording shouldn't cost 4 figures. We included it because that's what the software should do.
Your internet shouldn't matter
Local recording means your footage is safe even when your connection isn't. That's how it should work.
Software should just work
No 45-minute tutorials. No enterprise onboarding. Click record. Get files.
Made in Norway
Elva is built by a small team in Oslo. We've been podcasters, we've been frustrated by recording software, and we decided to make something better.
"Elva" is Norwegian for "the river."
Make of that what you will.
